Variations - Knee

Knee(Limited flexion or extension)

Crossed legs on floor (flexion)
  • Place additional blankets underneath hips
  • Loop a strap around the knees
  • And/or sit in chair

  • Only bend knees as far as is comfortable
Warrior I (back knee: extension; front knee: flexion)
  • Back knee: Place back heel on wedge
  • Front knee: take a smaller stance or bend front knee less
  • Limit stance width
Warrior II (back knee: extension; front knee: flexion)
  • Back knee: Place back heel on wedge
  • Front knee: take a smaller stance or bend front knee less
  • Limit stance width
Simple Reclining Twist (flexion)
  • Place a blanket/block underneath the knees
Wide-legged seated forward bend (extension)
  • Place a blanket/block underneath the knees
  • Sit with legs crossed
