Excellent mentors are crucial to the success of the MSTAR program. We appreciate the dedication of faculty who offer to mentor students each year!
Click here to view a sample 8-week research timeline. This timeline gives a general idea of what a student's workload will be and can serve as a useful reference to gauge your student's progress throughout the duration of the program.
Note: The students have $200 to spend on research-related expenses. Any supplies you anticipate the student will need to conduct their research can be reimbursed from this fund. All original receipts and documentation for such expenses should be gathered and submitted by the student before concluding their summer participation.
Please review the following mentor expectations:
Note: If the projects your students are working on involve human subjects or animals, please forward a copy of your IRB or ARC approval OR the appropriate IRB number and approval date to our program administrator, Kristian Clausen by Friday, June 21st. It is critical that we submit this to the Office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA) for any projects the students are working on that require review by the IRB or ARC.
