Frontiers in Human Aging: Biomedical, Social and Policy Perspectives, is a Freshman Cluster Course where students study biological and biomedical aging and how scientific breakthroughs relate to health and increased independence. The course welcome all students who are interested in exploring fundamental issues that relate to living a healthier and happier life from the cradle to the grave.

Gerontology Interdisciplinary Minor (GIM): The worldwide expansion of the older adult population ensures that issues regarding aging will dominate our environmental, economic, social, political, psychological, and medical concerns and endeavors well into the twenty-first century. The undergraduate GIM at UCLA provides a foundation understanding of the current state of science related to human aging and enables an appreciation of opportunities to contribute to a diverse aging society. 

Fiat Lux Seminars are a cornerstone of the innovative undergraduate curriculum at UCLA, and offers up to 200 small group seminars annually.  Students receive one-unit of academic credit and faculty members from across campus have the opportunity to share with undergraduates their areas of intellectual passion and expertise.  Aging seminars include: Introduction to Gerontology: Secrets of Oldest Old, Who Wants to Live to 100? Aging in the 21st Century and Elders on YouTube.

Universal Gerontology and Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness (UGADA), pronounced "U-GOTTA," is the national youth movement for Alzheimer's disease & gerontology awareness.  UGADA was founded in 2005 at UCLA by three students determined to raise awareness to their fellow youth about the needs of aging population. UGADA has become a network of young people in college, high school, and graduate school, brought together from coast to coast to eliminate Alzheimer's and to ensure better lives for those who are aging healthy.
