Frontiers in Human Aging: Biomedical, Social and Policy Perspectives, is a Freshman Cluster Course where students study biological and biomedical aging and how scientific breakthroughs relate to health and increased independence. The course welcome all students who are interested in exploring fundamental issues that relate to living a healthier and happier life from the cradle to the grave. Universal Gerontology and Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness (UGADA), pronounced "U-GOTTA," is the national youth movement for Alzheimer's disease & gerontology awareness. UGADA was founded in 2005 at UCLA by three students determined to raise awareness to their fellow youth about the needs of aging population. UGADA has become a network of young people in college, high school, and graduate school, brought together from coast to coast to eliminate Alzheimer's and to ensure better lives for those who are aging healthy. |
