The UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences offers two subspecialty training programs in geriatrics. The interdisciplinary faculty includes experts from Psychiatry, Psychology, Neurobehavior, Geriatric Medicine, Neuropsychology, and Nursing. Faculty from other departments are involved in collaborative research projects. Both programs are designed to train academic leaders and exceptional clinicians:

• A complete one year program for psychiatrists interested in obtaining qualification in geriatric psychiatry certification
• A second year focusing on research is also available
