UCLA Memory and Aging Research Center
UCLA Memory and Aging Research Center was created with the mission to advance the state-of-the-art research on early detection and prevention of age-related neuropsychiatric conditions and effective treatment of age-related mental conditions, particularly memory and other cognitive losses. Located in the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, the Center aims to bring together foremost specialists in aging and neuroscience for interdisciplinary investigations and works closely with other UCLA organizations, including the Center on Aging, the Alzheimer's Disease Center, the Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, the Brain Research Institute, and the Brain Mapping Cener. The Aging and Memory Research Center receives support from the National Institute on Aging, the National Institute of Mental Health, the Alzheimer's Association, and the Fran and Ray Stark Foundation Fund for Alzheimer's Disease Research.
